Question by : Need to come up with a marketing plan product?
Hi, I need a marketing plan topic. It can be any existing product and I need to write a 20 page paper on the product by the end of the semester. Can you help me choose a product? I needs to be open with a lot of information available, THANKS!

Right now I’m loving the “back to school phone” ad campaign that is running.

Have you heard the term “back to school phone” before? Just think about it. no. you haven’t. Soon that absurd statement will be a must have every year.
Why would you get a new phone to go back to school. really? Just wait. It will become a tradition before our eyes. ha-ha my kids get my old phone when I get a new one. But just you wait.
Now the campaign isn’t very effective because I can’t recall what company in particular put the ad out. But it is still going to benefit them and the industry in the end of it all.

or do you need a product to build a campaign for? A logical one would be for GM motors with all their cutbacks.
Are you in college? A fun one I’ve been really thinking about lately is Coochy brand shave lotion. Not sure if you are familiar with the product. You can only purchase it in adult stores. But the lotion it’s self is a staple in my home, my boyfriend even uses it on his face, it’s the only thing that keeps him from razor burn. It’s just a great shave lotion, its for “all over” not just- you know.
Even if you dont want it as a topic go get a bottle, the stuff is AMAZING you won’t regret it and never buy anything else lol. Anyway, by naming them selves “coochy” they are severely limiting their customer base.
Really, despite the great product, they rely on word of mouth to get the name out, and even then people need to be forced to try it because it seems dirty with that name. With the name they are also limited to selling it in adult stores which drastically cuts down the availability (I order online because my state doesn’t allow adult stores) and customers because many adults are not willing to enter an adult store.
As a marketing campaign I would recommend they either have a sister company with the same product and a different name/lable or find a play on the name so that it can be in it but sold at Wal-mart.
And because they don’t advertise the sky is the limit for the marketing of it.
If you do pick that OMG send the plan to the company – THEY NEED TO FIGURE IT OUT!!!!
